History

Juno is a Canadian private company that was formed in 2019 to pursue the exploration and development of critical minerals in the Ring of Fire, located in Ontario, Canada. Uniquely endowed with many of the world’s critical minerals, the Ring of Fire is one of the last remaining large, under explored, multi-commodity geological structures in the world.

With over 17,000 mineral claims covering in excess of 3,300 square kilometers, Juno is the largest mineral claim holder in both the Ring of Fire and the Province of Ontario.

Juno’s strategy is to sustainably explore and develop critical mineral assets to support the transition to a low-carbon economy. Juno will seek to find, delineate and develop top tier assets that will deliver long-term value and shareholder returns through multiple cycles.

Non-Executive Chairman & Director

Terry MacGibbon

Mr. MacGibbon is a former professional geologist with over 50 years of experience in the mining business. Mr. MacGibbon, as a founder, CEO and chairman, has played a key role in transforming six junior exploration companies into producing mining companies with market capitalizations in excess of $1 billion. He has also played a key role in equity financings totaling over $5 billion and M&A activities totaling over $8 billion. He was employed for 30 years with Inco Limited, exploring globally for nickel and other minerals. In 2005, Mr. MacGibbon was awarded the PDAC's Developer of the Year Award  and Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In 2018, Mr. MacGibbon was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame and in 2019 he was the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Laurentian University.

Robert Cudney

Mr. Cudney, the Founder, President and CEO of Northfield Capital Corporation is a long-time financier within the resource industry. is. He is credited as a Founder and inaugural Director of FNX Mining Company Inc., Co-Chairman of Gold Eagle Mines Ltd., Founder and financier of Guyana Goldfields Inc., as well as the original financier of Noront Resources Ltd. in their discovery of the Ring of Fire.

Mr. Cudney was the recipient of the Bill Dennis Award in 2016 for the discovery of the Bruce Channel Deposit in Red Lake, Ontario, where he was instrumental in the subsequent sale of Gold Eagle Mines Ltd., to Goldcorp Inc. for $1.5-billion in 2008.

Ernie Eves

Mr. Ernie Eves, Q.C, LL.D. is the former Premier of Ontario (2002 - 2003) and former Finance Minister (1995-2001). Mr. Eves currently serves as a board member for Hemlo Explorers Inc., as well as an advisor and consultant for several other North American and international companies. Mr. Eves is the Chair of the Justin Eves Foundation and was a former member of the board of directors for Special Olympics Canada.

Dan Noone

Mr. Noone has more than 30 years of international mineral exploration and development experience ranging from implementing grassroots programs through to feasibility studies. He is currently the CEO of G2 Goldfields Inc. and Chairman of GPM Metals Inc. Previous roles include Executive Director and V.P. of Exploration at Guyana Goldfields, V.P. of Peruvian Operations for Aquiline Resources Inc. and the President and CEO of Absolut Resources Inc. Mr. Noone has managed projects in Guyana, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Peru, Ecuador and Argentina. Mr. Noone holds a degree in geology from Ballarat University and an MBA from Melbourne University. He is a Member of the Institute of Australian Geoscientists (AIG).

Jacob McKinnon

Mr. McKinnon has 17 years of experience in the mining industry. He has served in several high-level positions with various junior mining companies with projects located around the world. He spent 10 years working in the Ring of Fire navigating the logistical challenges associated with operating in the far north and successfully executing large scale exploration projects. Mr. McKinnon holds BA in Business Communications from Brock University.

Chief Financial Officer

Michael Leskovec

Mr. Leskovec is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with over 20 years of financial and capital markets experience. He also serves as the CFO of Northfield Capital Corporation (TSXV:NFD.A), where he oversees financial management and reporting, assists with portfolio management decisions and works with publicly listed companies, managing corporate structuring, mergers & acquisitions, investment analysis, financings and go public transactions in Canada. Prior to this, Mr. Leskovec served as an officer of Gold Eagle Mines Ltd., which was involved in the development of the Bruce Channel deposit in Red Lake, Ontario, and was sold to Goldcorp Inc. for $1.5 billion in 2008. Mr. Leskovec earned his CPA, CA designation while working on Bay Street in Toronto, Ontario in the audit and assurance practice for Smith Nixon LLP and has his Honours Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) Degree from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Fraser Laschinger

Mr. Laschinger has more than a decade of experience working in the mineral exploration business. He was a co-founder of Mineral Streams Inc., a private mineral royalty company that was sold to AuRico Metals Inc. in 2015. Since 2013, Mr. Laschinger has been the Chief Financial Officer of Hemlo Explorers Inc., a mineral exploration company focused on the Hemlo camp in Ontario. In 2021, He became CEO of Voyageur Mineral Explorers Corp., a mineral exploration company with a portfolio of valuable royalty assets. Previously, Mr. Laschinger worked in equity research for a Canadian investment dealer. He graduated with Honours in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in 2006.

Jeremy Niemi

Mr. Niemi brings over 25 years of global experience in geoscience, specializing in the discovery and development of significant mineral deposits. His expertise lies in guiding vision, strategic partnerships, and decision-making processes with base/critical and precious metal exploration, particularly within the world-renowned mineral district, the Ring of Fire. His strategic insight and technical skills have been pivotal in leading exploration teams to substantial discoveries and advancements. Notably, his leadership contributed to the significant resource expansion of the Eagle's Nest nickel-copper-PGE deposit, in the Ring of Fire. Before Juno, Mr. Niemi played a leading role in mineral exploration and development at Aurelius Minerals, Goldquest, and Noront Resources. In addition, his foundational experiences at Kinross and Inco were instrumental in his professional development. Mr. Niemi is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and holds a BSc Honours degree in Earth Sciences from Laurentian University.
